 Answer: There are routes for all three levels (Expert, Intermediate and Beginners). For beginners routes are mixed asphalt and dirt paths. On the other hand the expert level tours are 90% technical and open routes. 


 Answer: Yes, you must have at least a 250cc motorcycle driver's licence.


 Answer: Because of the mountainous topography distances are calculated per hour, rather than per kilometer. For example 200 km is equivalent an 8-hour course in Costa Rica. 200 km in an African desert would be only four hour 


 Answer: The political security and culture of Costa Rica is the most stable in Latin America. Costa Rica is typically referred to as the "Switzerland of Central America." The Costa Rican culture is very tolerant of mechanical sports... In Costa Rica the practice of all-terrain is very common with 50% of the country practicing all-terrain sports including 4x4, ATV and motorcycles among others. In over 15 years of practice in Costa Rica, we have never had a negative experience with local people, unlike any other countries where travel has its awkward encounters 


  Answer: Respect the environment, minimize noise, reduce pollution. Go on roads open respecting the laws and parts ways. We use equipment and motorcycles in compliance with Costa Rican law. 


 Answer: At Enduro Tours we always look for your comfort and convenience, without losing the opportunity to experience to local traditions.


 Answer: The motorcycles and equipment are insured and have maximum guarantee for their safety.


 Answer: Yes. Each client requires its own repatriation insurance. These are typically covered by credit card insurance, but you must contact them to confirm.


 Answer: No vaccinations arent required to Costa Rica. Costa Rica is free from most tropical diseases that can be received in other countries.


 Answer: All bikes have new tires or at lest 80% or more and suitable for the terrain we ride. Bike are checked daily to insure maximum performance and pleasure to drive, we are professional bikers and do not tolerate any flaws or any defectosity on our tour bikes at all. If you fell the bike need adjustments to suit your driving style we will make sure to fix it right away.


 Answer: You may bring your own gear and you can also rent it or buy them locally.  "We strongly recommend the use of a hydration reservoir (e.g., CamelBak) during the tour. It is essential to supplement with electrolytes and amino acids to maintain optimal hydration, muscle function, and recovery throughout prolonged endurance efforts. #1 rule: Pack light!

Some suggestions of items you should pack before:

  • Cotton shirts (one easy to dry long sleeve shirt)
  • One or two easy to dry long pants
  • Shorts (to keep your legs breezy on hot areas)
  • A casual dress for the ladies/teen girls
  • Socks (easy to dry)
  • A light sweater/rain jacket (you will need it for the highland areas)
  • One or two bathing suites
  • Pocket Poncho or a small umbrella
  • Hiking shoes or tennis shoes, sandals
  • Sunglasses
  • Hats
  • Sunscreen lotion
  • Aloe Lotion (relieves the itching of burned skin or mosquito bites)
  • Insect repellent
  • Camera
  • Binoculars (optional)
  • A small flashlight (in some areas you will need to walk from your room to some other place and light might not be good enough)
  • Business cards and address book (you will make friends on the way)
  • Travel Diary

  • Goggles (with tear-offs or roll-offs)
     
  • Enduro jersey and pants (ventilated or waterproof depending on climate)
     
  • Chest protector or body armor
     
  • Enduro/motocross boots
     
  • Knee and elbow guards
     
  • Riding gloves (2 pairs – lightweight and heavy-duty)
     
  • Hydration backpack (e.g., CamelBak with 2–3L capacity)
     
  • Neck brace (optional but recommended)
